The core collection of this gallery is 117 works amassed in 1878 to which was added the 107 works of the collection of Alexander Soutzos.
The gallery's collection has increased considerably since then. Its most "important" works are by El Greco but hosts rotating exhibitions from all over the world. Right: The Acropolis by Raffaello Ceccoli 1845.
