GREEK RECIPE: Stewed Chicken

Place chicken in a bowl and pour the lemon juice over it. Let stand for 1 hour, turning occasionally. Remove chicken and wipe dry. Heat butter in a pan and brown chicken. Add tomatoes and all other ingrediants and bring to a simmer covered for about 1.5 hours or until chicken is tender. Remove bayleaf and cinnamon stick and discard. Serve over rice or pasta. Serves 6.
